This blog will reflect the progress I make on my study of Galatians with a group in the church. You will need to start from the bottom, since the most recent posts will be first.

Galatians 1:11-2:21 Narrative
You might want to read this entire passage together first, to get a sense of the flow of the argument. Paul is offering a narrative defense of his gospel and apostleship. It becomes an autobiographical sketch. Aristotle
says that sometimes, when persuading people of a future course of action, you have to do some remedial or corrective work in your "introduction." You need to deal with prejudice against yourself, and maybe call into question your opponents. Paul is clearly doing that in this passage. I will, in the next posts, discuss each part of the narrative defense.
